There's always been a "hustle culture" in the US. With the foundations laid by the "protestant work ethic" workers in the US are often encouraged -- in some subtle and not so subtle ways -- to work well beyond 40 hours a week. Did the pandemic and work-from-home finally put an end to this insidious idea that "rich people work harder"?
