Film Preview, Food and Fun at Local 39 Picnic

OPEIU Local 39 recently hosted a member event called the “Summer Sizzler” at the Warner Park Community Center in Madison, WI, on September 28th, 2024. At this end-of-Summer picnic, workers and their families from a variety of our organized workplaces played games, ate food, and got to know each other better! Additionally, attendees were able to watch the world premier of the new documentary film, “Out of Office.” Directed by former OPEIU member Will Roberts, filmmaker and founder of video production studio Brand New Extra Good, the documentary explores the build up to and aftermath of the 2023 TruStage Strike.
