Our Website Has a New Look!
OPEIU Local 39 has had an exceptionally busy past year. Between high-profile contract negotiations with multiple Madison-area employers, the longest private-sector strike in Wisconsin in more than a decade, and a rapidly growing membership, we have proven that when we fight, we win. Now, we are seeking to build our union and gain concrete power for even more workers in Wisconsin and Illinois. As part of our Local’s plan to increase new organizing efforts, we have designed a fresh and modern new look for our website!
First and foremost, the new website places a priority on connecting workers with our organizing team. We believe every employee, whether in office administration, healthcare, higher education, or another profession, deserves representation. Multiple links across the sight, including the front page’s “Talk to an Organizer” tab, make it easy for workers to take the first step. Take a moment to explore new features such as the “Take Action” tab, which allows community and union members to sign up for organizing actions across Wisconsin and Illinois. Additionally, our new website features dozens of photos and videos demonstrating the work our members do each day to fight for better wages, benefits, and respect in the workplace.
Our new site is also designed as a one-stop shop for our currently represented workers to find information on upcoming events, talk to your business representative, become a member, purchase union swag, and more.
